What happens if Worley gets hurt? We have 2 freshman with no college game experience, I just wonder when the score was 31-7 why not put one of the two in to run with the first team? Some of you say the freshman aren't ready to play ok picture this Worley goes down at Alabama then what roll one of the freshman out there? Put peterman back in if healthy?

Your thread title sucks.

We would then be in the same situation as 99% of any other college football team if their starter went down.

Very catchy thread title and I'm glad someone finally thought about this possible scenario.

It is not 'we say the freshman aren't ready', it is CBJ who says this. Disappointing IMO.

Maybe its all or nothing with Worley. They want him to get as comfortable as possible. Perhaps they haven't seen anything in practice that indicates that the other QBs are ready.

Blessing in disguise!

Sorry

But probably true!

With a stubborn coach!

It's a good question OP. This gets us back to the, "do you trust Butch" question. If you do, then you have to believe he has a good reason for not putting one of the freshmen in, but I have to say, it would be nice to see how they perform in a real game.

That's what always amazes me about Spurrier. He seems to have 4 ready at all times. 1 gets hurt, another comes in and it's usually a pass on the 1st play.

Yeah, Spurrier has a knack for having the QB position ready. He's not always had the talent at USCe that he had at Florida (not even close actually), but the man makes due.

Okay, that's all the compliments Spurrier gets this year frome me.

First everyone called for Peterman (Including me)....We all saw how that worked out.

Now everyones like "OH!! I meant to say Dobbs/Ferguson, not Peterman!"

I hate to say this but with Suggs, this O would be pretty decent....OK, a bit better than what it is.

If CBJ had put in a freshman quarterback and we would have lost the game people would have been calling for his head.

Can definatly go either way if we would have gotten beat today then it would be because he was to stubborn to pull Worley. But what concerns me is if Worley goes down then you may get that deer in the head lights performance from one of the freshman and could be disastrous or on the other hand may catch lighting in a bottle. Just wish they would have put one of the two out there just to get some experience. Damn if you damn if you don't I guess
