According to some of the Twitter accounts of LV players they are committing to no more social media till after the end of the season. I'll miss their tweets.

A couple of them were saying it was their last day on social media till season ends

This team needs to spend more time concerned about improving as a basket ball team rather than spending time on Twitter. Social media can be a big distraction, especially for 17 to 21 year olds. This may be an effort to limit outside distractions and emerge themselves into becoming a more cohesive team off and on the floor. Sounds like a commitment to produce a product that they will be proud to Twitter about when the season is over. Let's hope this is a positive omen.:crossfingers:

Last year at the AAC conference tournament I sat next to one of the AAC teams. They were in team warmups. They were scheduled to play the winner of the game we were watching. I saw no coaches with them.

With one exception every player had ear buds and their cellphone. They spent the entire game texting (probably with the player sitting next to them). Only one player watched the game.

Did I mention they were scheduled to play the winner of the game that they were ignoring?

About half a dozen players tweeted that they were giving up social media until the end of the season so they could focus on basketball.

Hasn't UCONN done the same thing in the past??????
its been in place for a while... I don't think it was to get "refocused", its a "law" that starts at the beginning of the season (1st official practice).

I understand letting "kids" be kids and enjoy the college life but at the same time you're at that school on a "basketball" scholarship. Chemistry, Focus and WINS are very important
