That's good news that our rpi is that high. As I recall that was what got us ripped off in the tourney seedings last year. I heard Chayanne will be pitching tomorrow. I look forward to seeing that as you can watch tomorrows double header vs Furman on live stream on the ladyvols.com web site.

Bama, Florida, LSU, & Georgia sure have played a lot of home games. 19,13, 19, & 20 respectively. Whereas UT has only played 9? Am I reading that right?! These girls have logged some serious mileage on the team bus. :salute:

I don't know this for a fact but I think maybe their schedule is like that for a reason-the unpredictable weather in Knoxville makes it pretty tough. I believe Kentucky's women have played about the same number of home games as the LVs (same reason?). The Weeklys' usually schedule some of tournaments out west or somewhere further south early in the season so the team has a chance to play good competition; but also just so they can play with decent conditions.

Like I said, I don't really know....just surmising. Those games in cold or wet weather are really not good for players or coaches and can contribute to injuries. If the temp is 35 degrees and misting rain it probably makes it harder for coaches to gauge their team early in the year, too.

ON EDIT: I noticed Michigan has only played 4 games at home.

The good thing is we are good the rest of the season. Almost the rest of our games are at home. We have 2 fairly short bus rides to Auburn and S. Carolina the rest of the regular season at that's it. We deserve it for sure. All these girls are probably having dreams every night of a bus ride or the Atlanta airport.
