I met up with some old college buddies at the watch party on Saturday, and after the game, we went to Stefano’s, just like we used to always do. (That place hasn’t changed at all, which is excellent). We were sitting next to these two guys with UT shirts on who were about 45, maybe 50 years old, and we started talking about how awesome the game was. We quickly learned that they were not Vol fans. They said they have been friends since they were kids, but now they live far away from each other. But every August, they look at the college football season schedule and pick one game to attend together, always picking a different venue. This was the first time they had ever been to Neyland. They have been doing this, traveling to different campuses for over 20 years, and they said this was the best game and Neyland was the best atmosphere they had ever experienced. Pretty cool way to keep in touch and continue to have great times with an old friend.
