"I'm solid to Tennessee and I'm working on Kelcy to join me there," said Miller. "But I don't think he's buying into it that much, he seems sold on South Carolina but I'll keep trying."

As for Quarles, like many others he claims he will surprise everyone in the end with his choice.

"I have secrets," he said with a smile. "But I can't tell them to you because they're secrets. But I'm going to shock the world on Signing Day. I'm still going to end up in the SEC, but I'm going to surprise everyone."

it seems like other than the Brown hire that there has been little for the vol fans to feel good about. I have thought for some time that quarles will be a vol. i think he is committed to USClite so he doesnt have to hear it from the fans while still living there. Also, there are many that think Miller will follow willis of he goes to the U. I do not believe that at all.

All the best to this kid. I am not sure how a DT will shock the world with school he picks, but hey, more power to him.

hmm........so we are going to take 5-6 DT's??

1. Copeland (moved)
2. Willis (unless goes to U)
3. Brown (if he gets in)
4. Quarles (WTF?)
5. Smith
6. another JC

So, would this be too many to take?? I know we need at least 4.........what do u think??

A pipeline into the upstate would bring UT championships. The population of SC isn't comparable to GA or FL so you don't see the gross number of blue chips but I'd put the quality of prep play up against any other state.

"Mr. Prime Minister, did you hear that Quarles committed to the University of X today."

"Of course! I was just as shocked as the rest of the world!!"

My guess is that some of those would become OL's. The typical HS OL doesn't have the athleticism CLK is looking for. That leaves you either bulking up TE's and converting them or switching DT's that are actually a tad too slow to play DT at the SEC level but who can put on the bulk to play OL.

Given the choice it seems CLK prefers quickness and athleticism over size... but the ultimate goal is big guys with athleticism.

Tennessee is still in the running for a lot of 5 star and 4 star players. Never seen that with Fulmer as coach. Might loose some but will get back better probaly. As long as the kicker from Florida shows up will help special teams a whole lot. Just remember we got Brown,Ocu and Jackson after signing day last year

Maybe Quarles is comming to Tenn with Willis and Miller after the beat down on SC that Tenn put on them this year. There is alot more upside to the Tenn program than the SC program. Think the Kippy Brown hire is great. all the kids can go to him for advice, that says alot there

I'm not worried about this class. Your always going to lose some and gain some.
I dont worry about the ones we lose with this staff.

If you could somehow impart this wisdom to some on here. We're much farther along than we were last year at this time. I just find it given the results last year that people are running around like the sky is falling every time someone decommits. We will fill our spots and fill them with great talent. If we lose one somewhere, we likely get another of similar talent and will actually develop these kids to be the best they can be. This is a heck of a step up from where we have been under the former regime.

Honestly, I think Quarles is all USCe... However, I hadn't seen the Corey Miller AMP and it IMO is a lot more telling than the Quarles one. He says he's solid. Talks about the USCe commit joke, thinks lattimore is a cock but "we'll see", thinks willis will be a vol, and MF at the end, says we might have another future vol behind you.... Going to the next interviewee ala Quarles (pretty sure anyways)...

Quarles could be all-in for UT but not letting on to it. Miller would not spill the beans to keep it a secret and let him "shock the world" and let him have his fun. Could be.
