Sad but true. Also, left off that he cannot conduct a news conference or carry on a question and answer session with the media or anyone else for that matter, without coming off as a complete idiot. Even in instances where he knows what the questions are beforehand. I almost feel sorry for him when he tries to answer a question. He is absolutely lost and has demonstrated that he is not a very smart or capable person.

Anyone who would vote for this idiot ought to have their head examined.

• First President to Violate the War Powers Act.
(Second to Clinton on that, to be fair.)

Unfortunately, this is technically false. The 2001 'Authorization for Use of Military Force' allows the President to take whatever actions he deems necessary against anyone he deems was involved in, aided, harbored, planned, etc. etc. terrorist attacks and/or terrorist organizations. You can blame that all encompassing transfer of power from the Legislature to the Executive on a GOP held Legislature and a GOP held Executive.

• First President to Orchestrate the Sale of Murder Weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels.

To Mexican Drug Cartels, yes. To South American Drug Cartels, no. To Afghanistan Drug Cartels, no. You must just be bothered by the geography.

• First President to halt deportations of illegal aliens and grant them work permits, a form of stealth amnesty roughly equivalent to "The DREAM Act", which could not pass Congress.

Unfortunately, more illegal aliens have been deported under Obama and this Congress than any previous President and Congress.

Glad to hear you are against the DREAM Act; we would not want individuals who fight in our military to have automatic citizenship and we definitely do not want college graduates to be citizens.

• First President to Require All Americans to Purchase a Product From a Third Party.

What is the principle difference between requiring persons to purchase education (either privately or through their tax-dollars) and requiring person to purchase health insurance?

• First President to Bypass Congress and Implement the DREAM Act Through Executive Fiat.

We certainly cannot have those poor, dirty Mexicans in America. Bring us your rested, your wealthy, your highly educated minorities...

• First President to "Order a Secret Amnesty Program that Stopped the Deportations of Illegal Immigrants Across the U.S., Including Those With Criminal Convictions".

Source?

• First President to Terminate America's Ability to Put a Man into Space.

Shouldn't this be done privately?

• First President to Encourage Racial Discrimination and Intimidation at Polling Places.

Historically incorrect.

• First President to Have a Law Signed By an 'Auto-pen' Without Being "Present".

Why does this bother you? It is 2011.

• First President to Arbitrarily Declare an Existing Law Unconstitutional and Refuse to Enforce It.

The Executive, as established, had the authority to refuse to fund and execute Congressional Legislation. Only in the past 100 years has this authority been stripped from the Executive.

• First President to refuse to comply with a House Oversight Committee subpoena.

Nixon did not do this? Reagan? Clinton? Bush?

• First President to File Lawsuits Against the States He Swore an Oath to Protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN, etc.)

The DOJ has sued states in the past; maybe not as much as they are re: immigration law, but they have sued states in the past.

• First President to Propose an Executive Order Demanding Companies Disclose Their Political Contributions to Bid on Government Contracts.

At least they are bidding, right?

• First President to allow Mexican police to conduct law enforcement activities on American soil.

Does the FBI operate in Foreign Countries?

• First President to Golf 90 or More Times in His First Three Years in Office.

Oh no!

The problem with Obama is that he is just as dirty and flawed as most every politician; and, like most politicians, he is more concerned with trying to remain electable and in power than he is with following his principles. Would I or do I agree with Obama's principles? Not as they were laid out in his first book. Unfortunately, though, it seems as there are very few running against him that are operating under principles that I agree with.

Did not know Obama "orchestrated" fast and furious.

And Bush had way more recess appointments than has Obama.

Don't see how he is remotely first to "violate" the WPA.

The credit rating drop was a long time coming and would have happened whoever was in office.

First to sue a state? You are just an idiot. Very common.

The rest of this stuff is just the usual right wing hate mongering junk.

True. But Bush never peformed a recess appointment while the Senate was still in session. The point of a recess appointment is that it has to be done while the Senate is actually in recess.

when Harry Reid began the Pro Forma sessions in order to block Bush from making recess appointments, it was expected that Bush would do the same thing that Obama has just done. He didn't and now the precedent has been set by Obama and Reid.

RealUT stop confusing them with facts and reality. This propaganda chain email should stand unchallenged because it's far more fun to watch their manufactured rage fester.

Obviously, there is a brewing legal battle over whether the pro forma sessions can block a recess appointment by creating the illusion that the Senate is not in recess. I have no idea how that will turn out.

But both sides play this same sort of game with recess appointments. Making it sound like Obama has really taken some extreme action in this regard is the standard feigned outrage form the right we see these days.

Whether its golfing, taking a vacation, recess appointments, whatever, the reactionary right just jumps into "Oh noes" mode.

Yes, the pro forma sessions are being used to block these appointments. But it's going to be tough for Obama to argue against them. During this same set of pro forma sessions, the Senate approved a bill, and Obama signed it into law. He clearly considered the Senate in session at that point. Given that, his only legitimate explanation will have to be "I can pick and choose when the Senate is in session."

Thanks for the list.
I didn't realize Obama had accomplished so much.

I can't understand why anyone would still support Obama but some do.
