1. As bad as today was it would have been 100x times worse if we would have lost.. Glad we held on.

2. With that said, the QB situation is a train wreck. Anybody with a brain knows Worley is not the answer. I believe there must be something goin on for us to be so reluctant to play one of the freshmen. IMO I think they feel whoever ends up as the 2nd best Freshmen QB will transfer. I think they want to redshirt both and allow them more time to seperate themselves from the other.

3. Our O-line doesn't really fit the scheme and is an above average SEC O-line. They play too straight up and don't get enough push to be considered a great line. I actually think our O-line will be better in future because the players will fit the scheme better. A Richardson has really dissapointed and IMO would not be drafted in first 3 rounds if he were to be drafted today.

4. Jacques smith might be the most overrated player in history. Dude gets all kind of praise in preseason and practice but is just plain terrible in the actual game.

5. The fact that our lines and LB's are full of seniors is actually a good thing IMO. Can't wait til most of those guys graduate and we get some new players in there. Vereen, wiseman, and reeves maybin are solid players to build those positions around for the future. Vereen should start RIGHT NOW
over smith.

6. Overall our secondary is improved but we still need some help. Would not be surprised to see Coleman and or McNeil to get passed over by newcomers next year.

7. Still think jones will turn us around but I have been dissapointed in our overall play and strategy. This offense does not fit our players at all and some of that is the coaches fault.

8. The most important thing for us the rest of the year is to see improvement. If we can look back at the end of the year and say we were better in games 10,11 and 12 than we were in early games, I think you take that as a major positive and use it as momentum in the offseason.

9. Go vols beat Georgia!

Don't Walls, Miller, and Jordan Williams get more snaps than Smith? I agree, he is a bust. Not gonna miss him a bit.

I think Jones is concerned about putting a freshman in during a difficult spot. Especially given the Peterman debacle last week. Ferguson or Dobbs probably won't see time until we are down 2-3 scores against UGA and Bama.

#1 - Agree
#2 - Aside from a 3 or 4 passes that missed their target and 3 very ugly INTs (which he should never had thrown) I saw some improvement in Worley today. I liked to see him actually run the ball - quite well - on a couple of read option plays. He also threw many balls for strikes on some deep outs (several of which were clearly thrown on timing before the receiver broke). He needs to learn to make better decisions (aka INTs).
#4 - Smith was good today. USA typically ran plays away from him. When they did run towards him, I saw him contain the corner. The problem was, there was no D to plug the gaping hole in the middle when Jacques turned the play in.
#6 - Secondary was terrible. Played way too soft. USA hit for far too many 5 - 10 yard throws were our DBs should have either knocked them off their route early or been in better position to get a hand on the ball.

Today's game should have been a blow out but due to 3 interceptions (2 of which kept the VOLS out of the end zone) we lost a great opportunity to see a freshman QB today.
