Possibly involving eligibility of players on current team and a former assistant coach. I'm hearing things about Aubrey Hill and might be reason for sudden departure last year. Any Gator fans that post on here with any insight?
It was widely speculated last year that Hill had some involvement with the Nevin Shapiro shenanigans when he was an assistant at Miami.
Can't speak to the current eligibility issues. Word on the street regarding the suspensions today have more to do with testing positive for weed than eligibility concerns.
The culture has not changed much since Herban left.

i know how this will sound, but it actually makes me trust florida more.
unless you believe every other school in america has 85, 18-22 year old guys on a college campus who all manage to "just say no"
or maybe they don't have weed in other parts of the country.
regardless, i have honestly gotten to a point where i don't question how florida has a few guys who serve a suspension for weed.
i question how no one else in america seems to have anyone suspended for weed, ever.
I understand your point from a "public" perspective. However, other teams players get suspended all the time and the public never really knows why. For example, Marlin Lane for Tennessee this year.i know how this will sound, but it actually makes me trust florida more.

The unknown here is so many players at one time! Couple that with the public rumors swirling around the Florida program lately. I don't buy the argument "other teams players do it." That is the same argument I used to have with my children. Yes 18-22 year old adults will make mistakes but a good coach will not only teach football to their players but teach them about life and how to become a man of character. Maybe that is what Muschamp is trying to teach or maybe not. Not enough public facts at this point.
Bottom line, even if six players were suspended from theTennessee football team, eyebrows would be raised and the public will be asking questions. It appears, not saying it is true at this point, there may be some issues in Florida as "time will tell." If I was a Florida fan I would be concerned!
