One of the stupider statements I've heard this year.

By the by, Mr. Huckabee, the next time I'm giving a speech and someone points a weapon at me, I guarantee to I'm going to find cover unless I have standoff range, armor, or a faster weapon.

Definately stupid.......... he was attempting to pander the crowd, which it probably worked, but this will keep him from being the VP.

I don't think he was going be selected as a V.P. candidate anyway. He has been attempting to set himself up for a strong run at the presidency in four or eight years. His stupidity today could go a long way toward preventing that possibility. It will be interesting to see how much play this gets.

Without listening to what he said... it cant be worse that Hillary Clinton saying she came under sniper fire... and she still races on.

no, it wasn't an outright and unmitgated, self-aggrandizing LIE, ut it was a completely stupid attempt at a joke.
