It was Dave Hooker. He didn't go through the proper red tape to get an interview with Inky Johnson and used his own resources.. He'll be suspended until October 23rd..

How will the sports world survive without Hooker's oh so insightful columns? For God's Sake, if the KNS fired everyone and just used AP/Scripps Howard wire stories, would the quality of the sports section really be diminished?

This is a little off-topic, but I will forever be haunted by the fact that I e-mailed Gary Lundy and gave him a tongue-lashing to end all tongue lashings about 2 days before he died.

I feel bad about that.

It was over some scathing article he wrote about Casey Clausen, I think. I used to e-mail the KNS "reporters" quite a bit when I still read govols.com.

You couldn't have known. Lundy was a hell of a writer, and all those guys have their faults, as Lundy must have on that day for you to tear into him:)

John Adams gets the brunt of criticism right now. Everyone on there is so in love with Pennington, but personally, I am not impressed in the least. For all Adams naysaying and criticizing, he has ten times the writing ability as Pennington.

Hat, you are a very negative individual. Do you think anybody that does anything is any good? I don't think I've ever read a compliment come out of your posts.

Well, I like Dave Hooker's work. Anyways, the KNS didn't suspend him, the UT Athletic Dept suspended his press privileges until whatever date (previous post) because he circumvented their dept to arrange the interview with Inky.

You should pay more attention. Read my posts about, for example, Bruce Pearl. I give credit where credit is due. What I don't do is practice artifical niceties and pretend garbage is quality work.

That's bizarre. Given how deeply Hooker has his cranium buried in the collective rectum of the UTAD, I'm surprised he breathes without getting prior approval from Mike Hamilton or Bud Ford.
