That would be true in a free country but we are rapidly becoming a nanny state in which you have no responsibility to make your own decisions, all that will be done for you by some government commissar.

I read part of an article today by a man who emigrated here from the USSR when they pretended to abandon socialism.

"See we now allow you to leave the country", he said of them.

The gist of his writing today consisted of holding out hope that America can survive the Obama assault on our free society and endure at least for another generation without those in Washington gaining total and complete power.

(You can call it communism, fascism, socialism or whatever but it is the point at which the government ceases to be the servant of the people and the people become servants of the government.)

I think about 75% of the people from the age of 18 to about 30 voted for Obama, well I ask you, did you ever begin to resent the authority of your parents and long for the day you could be on your own and make your own decisions??

Better wise up now and learn to distrust all those nice sounding socialist platitudes or it will become, if not for you, then for your children someday, a world in which you never can escape the fact that you will live your whole life and not be able to make any important decision for yourself other than that having to do with the spiritural.
