Someone has their bearskin panties in a wad.

Good for the dealership.

"We spend $20,000 a month on advertising with the Bears on WBBM during the season, and we have Bears players including Corey Wootton driving loaner vehicles, and here was a salesman openly undoing that work," Roberts said, according to the Sun-Times.

"If he'd worn the tie on Saturday I wouldn't have minded,"

none of the customers minded: They had a sense of humor about it

So it was fine for him to wear it to work at a dealership that does business with the Bears until the Bears lose. Only guy that had an issue with the tie was the boss.

Considering that's the one guy that holds your fate in his hands then maybe it would have been a good idea to keep the tie at home.

Reminds me of the chick that wore the Florida hat (or shirt) to a Arky press conference

There was a little more to that story than what happened to the guy with the Packers tie. They had him on Sportscenter and apparently he already has an interview at another dealership. Here's hoping he doesn't end up working for another 8 year old with a case of the sour grapes.

this was the part I didn't get either. plus, the bossman must be assuming that every customer that the salesman comes in contact with is a Bear's fan.

Yeah I'm sure the guy wearing a Packers' tie is going to really ruin their "relationship" with the Bears. If they pay the Bears the money they don't give a flying flip what goes on at that dealership. That's the boss trying to cover his butt, and it's a poor job.

Yeah. He undid it all... with a tie... That's a perfectly good reason to be fired. The "dealership" show grow a pair and get over it. I am sick of all of the corporate fellatio going down in this country.

when you've worked at a place for only a month and a half and the boss tells your three times to do something, it doesn't matter if he's saying it with a smile on his face or in front of one of your customers. I think it's a goofy reason to fire somebody, but it isn't like the boss didn't give the guy plenty of chances.

the fact that he was given an ultimatum in the first place is what is so ridiculous about this story.

Guess he should have been the boss and he wouldn't have an issue.

Rank has it's privileges.
