Now that Davis has committed, I was under the impression that we would only have one scholly left until the spring. How would CCM have to work it out to sign J3 and Nichols since they both want to sign early?

Someone would have to transfer.
Likely: Reese, Chievous, Richardson.
I don't drink the McRae aid like a lot of the guys. I'd put him on the list too.

I'm not drinking the McRae-derade either, but I doubt he transfers. He would be going into his senior year.

According the quotes Cuonzo has made this offseason concerning Jarnell, I think he believes there's a better chance than not that Jarnell leaves after this season. So, that's one scenario. Definitely not a certainty, but possible.

Most likely Reese.
With a medical redshirt he could transfer anywhere and still get his full 4 years.
Hate to see any of them go though.

You take those 2 guys without thinking twice and worry about numbers later...

-jarnell goes pro and there's an extra scholarship
-someone gets booted off the team, an underclassmen, there's an extra scholarship
-someone decides to transfer, there's an extra scholarship

Any of these scenarios are possible...if you're CCM you're not missing the chance to add Nichols or Jw3.

No way possible. If those two wanna play for UT, numbers will be the least of our concerns. If nothing changes, Reese or Chievous is gone. McRae will contribute this season and even if he struggles, he's way to athletic to get shown the door. Richardson is important on defense and is established so no way he's gone. I'd welcome the problems of not having room for two elite guys like this
