Take it from me, the real U.T. Vols of 2005 will show up down there Saturday night and it will be a beautiful thing for the VolNation!!!!!!!

See, that's the kinda stuff I like to see. Time to look ahead to beating the hell out of the tigers!

Hopefully we only have to hear tiger rag a couple times this weekend down at LSU...as much crap as tennessee takes for loving rocky top, I think LSU plays their two songs more!

We will need more than 213 yards of total offense.

We'll have that many by halftime!

We are going to go down to LSU and tear the field up! It's about time we had some postive thinking around here. Right now is the time to cheer for our team louder and harder than before. GO BIG ORANGE

For some reason that we cannot explain, when our backs are against the wall and everybody has counted us out, WE COME OUT SWINGING! :gun:

AND REMEMBER THESE:

General Robert Neyland's 7 Maxims of Football

1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.

5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 60 minutes.

NEYLAND once explained that an offense can score only three ways, while a defense can score in four ways; on an interception, a fumble, a blocked kick, or a kick return. He added, "The psychological shock of being scored on in any of those ways is so profound that a team so scored on rarely is able to rally for victory."

====================================

"My advice to defensive players:

Take the shortest route to the ball

and arrive in a bad humor."

Bowden Wyatt
