(Quote from KSR article)

"Patrick Patterson didn’t have a great night last night. There’s no question about that. But, as we said before, every player has an off-game and some of the reactions to how he played are bordering on insane in the comments section here and at Cats Pause. Some fans are in self-destruct mode after last night’s loss (they won 19 in a row before that, remember) and have decided to take their frustrations out on the guy who has been the definition of heart and hard work the past two and half seasons."

It seems Patrick might have noticed. From his Facebook page this morning:"

“To the entire Big Blue Nation.. Do not talk to me or message me about the performances of myself & my teammates OR question our talent, pride, or love for this University.”

Agreed. Some of you have lost your damn minds. Take a deep breath and repeat after me.

Nineteen and one….nineteen and one….nineteen and one….nineteen and one….nineteen and one….nineteen and one…."

Kentucky Sports Radio Blog Archive Patrick Patterson has a (Facebook) message for you

We lose one game, and the idiots come out of the woodwork to trash our programs most beloved player (and other players). Passion is a great thing, but in the hands of mentally deficient imbecile's it can be a horrible experiment.

Its ridiculous. You would think we lost the SEC, NCAA, and Olympics all at the same time, if you listened to some of these people. Makes me sick, sometimes.

That isn't just Kentucky fans. I think that is where we are as a sports-culture right now. It's quite disturbing.

Agreed. It's that same kind of backwards thinking that caused people to send Crompton death threats.

I agree but Kentucky just seems to have an inordinate number of idiotic fans. I can't help but be embarassed and hope these kids (players) understand to ignore these idiots.

Look around. We have just as many. Death threats to a kid pouring his heart out for our school, booing at the games, people wanting rid of DD b4 he even coaches a game, etc. I would imagine 99.9% of the idiots who pull this kind of crap have never played organized sports.

Who cares, go post this crap in your own forum. This is Vol Nation, not the Kitty Cat litter Box

If it makes you feel any better, I always despise your fanbase.

It does make me feel better, actually. Your supposed to hate UK. That's a good thing. I would reciprocate, but the problem is I have never had any need to despise the UT basketball fan base, as they have never been relevant enough to warrant my hatred. That is reserved for all teams in North Carolina, Indiana and Louisville.

Although over the last 3 years you guys are climbing the ladder. :)
