You guys have to check this out. Hit the front page for additional coverage.

AJC's anti-Georgia theme resounds | ajc.com

If his opponent had any redeeming qualities whatsoever, I would be voting for him next month.

Key observations:

1. UGA is in Athens, not Atlanta. GA Tech is in Atlanta, ergo Tech, NOT UGA, is the hometown team of the AJC.

2. I am relieved that the Governor of Georgia felt the need to comment on Sports coverage over every other issue affecting the citizens of this State. (read with sarcastic inflection)

I agree that this was stupid election year pandering. . . but on some level, he does have a point. They don't call it the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation for nothing.

...and you're right. Mark Taylor has no redeeming qualities other than being a larger version of Boss Hogg. None of it matters anyway. Perdue is going to wipe the floor with him.

I think I might have punctured a lung laughing at that!

Don't even get me started on that guy. I met him at a golf tournament a couple of years ago. He just might be the most fake, transparently political person I have ever met in my entire life . . . and I gleaned all of this in the course of a 60 second encounter between swings.

Plus he's got a crappy golf swing.

Sounds like the time when Hank Hill shook hands with George W!

And Sonny needed to be taught how to use a CD-ROM on his laptop back in 2001. Not exactly a winner there either.

He just needed some more free press as if his campaign war chest didn't have enough. This was the biggest crybaby effort I've ever seen. Even Richt himself said there was nothing wrong with this.

...and Sonny was one of those back in 1994 that woke up one morning and realized he was a Republican.

Actually it was 1998. That was the year the state Senate flipped control. He knew if he wanted to go any higher he'd have to change parties before he became a token minority party leader.

You know it has to be gratifying for Perdue to beat the daylights out of a rube like Taylor that treated him like dirt when he switched parties.
