I typed the sooner the better in another thread and then got to thinking about the Oklahoma Sooners and what a Sooner was exactly...So I looked it up and this is what I found.

Random, I know..

So what is a Boomer, you ask? "Boomers where those who by constant agitation tried to bring about the opening of Oklahoma to settlers before 1889."
