we tell kids that sportsmanship is more important than winning, but as soon as the Vols lose, some adults cry worse than children. The team has improved, Ainge looks like a real qb now, the offense is producing, you don't hear about attitude problems, etc. fire fulmer?...see Tn basketball program pre-bruce pearl. offense- we couldn't run the ball...THEY PLAYED HARD. defense- they couldn't stop the run- THEY PLAYED HARD. after last season, i'll take a hard fought L anyday. Do they need to improve? lord yes, but at the same time these kids went out and played to the best of their ability. That's something we wish they would have done last yr. in the end, it's a 12 game season and i predicted 7-5 or 8-4...i guess it's growing pains?

Who in their right mind after last season really expected this team to go undefeated? That was a game that until the end could have gone either way.

Now, does that mean that there still isn't room for improvement? No. Not even close. The running game is non-existent, the TE's need some serious help, and EA still has some growing up to do.

Having said all that, this team is much improved over last year. This is only the 3rd game in a 12 game season. I agree with an 8-4 record, but am hopeful for better.

i think we can go 11-1, and yes i almost cried last nite, but i didnt make excuses, and i didnt place blame on any of our players or coaching staff, we just got beat last nite, and i wont say florida is a better team, i think the 2 teams were so evenly matched it was scarey, it could have went either way.

Why still dissing Ainge? I actualy thought he played pretty well last nite under the circumstances. He made several smart descissions to just throw it away when the play wasn't there instead of forcing it. The last INT wasn't his fault. No one was open and being 4th down you have to force it and try to make something happen.

Actually his last interception was not that bad. Seeing no play he could have thrown it away and UF would have had the ball about 20 yards further up the field. Throwing the interception at least pushed UF back to better our chances if we got the ball back.
