That a players status on the UK Hoops roster may be in question here in the near future. My money is on Stacey Poole Jr, as he will have little to no chance of getting off the pine behind Miller, Lamb, Gilchrist, and Hood (because at least he can shoot).

Yes this is irrelevant, but I find myself bored on a Tuesday night.

Eh, quite honestly he is a good 3 star player truth told. He did not attend practice or the shoot around today, and was not in attendance at the game. Word is that he is talking with his dad about leaving, and Cal acknowledged as much. By not playing at all, he will be eligible to play 1 semester next season instead of sitting the whole year. Really can't blame the kid, probably should have followed his dads footsteps to Florida.

Tonights game was an exhibition, but showed some glimpses. Everyone loves Davis, but Gilchrist is going to be the best player in this class, IMO. Skill set is off the charts, IQ is good and he plays 100% on every play, where Teague and the others are catching up. Davis was actually pushed around quite a bit on the glass by 6"4' kids most of the game, which diminished his 8 blocks.

Davis could be Henson. Just needs a full year college before reaching his potential.

Oh yeah, the potential is there, and he will most likely still go in the lottery next year. I'm interested to see if Gilchrist comes off the bench, or if Cal pulls the trigger and sets Miller. Cal pretty much answered the question tonight in his post game presser, saying that Gilchrist' play tonight solidified a starting spot for him. Lamb outplayed Miller as well, so he looks like the odd man out, which saddens me a bit because I have always been in Darius' corner, but he just doesn't have the killer instinct. In the end it really doesn't matter, they will play the same minutes, but it's interesting to me nonetheless.

Teague is a great defender, and shoots it better than Wall did when he arrived. Put up 19, but dished out 9 dimes as well.

It's Poole, apparently. Daddy is coming up to make his decision for him. Poole did not dress for tonight's game vs. Transy...

Dear God, Transylvania College plays UK in hoops??

Gotta love the pre-season warm-up games. At least the ride home will be short.

Lolol, yeah. Actually, we hadn't played them since March 1911.

I think Lamb could be a killer sixth man. Didn't Calhoun use Ben Gordon off the bench some?

He would be a killer 6th man, as would several. But I'd stake some good money down that Lamb will be the starting 2 guard, and rotating as backup PG until Harrow is eligible in the spring.

I know I'm getting old when I can remember being a student at UF when Stacey Poole, Sr made his official recruiting visit to Gainesville.

Also old. He was a baller. Too bad he is trying to make decisions for his 20-year-old son.
