South Carolina gets probation

Will Fulmer get blamed for this?

OK so they had 5 major infractions in addition to minor ones and they don't get any post-season punishments? Do any schools get those anymore?

I wonder how this will fare in recruiting? It makes every visit and every commitment even more precious to the Old Ball Coach.

They'll just punish the fans and put some of their games on Pay-Per-View. :p

UK fans are pissed. SC was found to have a lack of institutional control, and that was the reason the NCAA docked them 19 scholarships and a bowl ban. SC gets.....a 4 scholarship reduction?

Lex....it's all about the warm and fuzzy feelings they and the media have for Spurrier. Money, ratings, and someone else on here's favorite word...politics.

Exactly, you don't think they're gonna keep the Ole Ball Coach down do you?

It is just irrational. I agree that Spurrier is good for college football, but the inequality of punishment is ridiculous.

You reap what you sow. They were just lucky to escape with such a small penalty. I put Holtz in with Dubose, Sherrill, and Switzer. All a bunch of crooks.

They should fine the culprit. Not right to see Lou leave every school and they have to pay for his crap.

Unless you look at like that's what they get for hiring him in the first place.

Looks like LOu leaves another mark at another school.

I've heard that several times, so what's the story... has he pretty much left each of his schools in the weeds? If so, it seems like that should tarnish his coaching legacy somewhat. :nono:

Yeah but not much. I'd like to have seen the Ol' Ball Coach get a little harder slap on the wrist than that!

Actually, ND got investigated because a booster took a couple of kids out to Vegas. I think that was on Lou's watch.
