Spurrier almost made it impossible for whoever the next coach was.

Their women's bball and baseball is on solid ground and Martin is headed that way.

Very easy to be a prisoner of the moment here. Perhaps South Carolina can continue to be a decent basketball program and be an SEC team that consistently fights for tournament spots, but they aren't going to make deep tournament runs every year, or even here and there.

Baseball is their best sport, and even that has fallen off since Tanner took the AD job.

So yes, they are trending up given their history and recent accomplishments in baseball and basketball.

Good? They went 6-7. That's bad imo. Not even mediocre. Just bad. But yeah, if you stroke the salami, you also choke the chicken.
