South Carolina over Arkansas

SC is playing well, but about 1/3 of their offense comes from second chances on putbacks. They've not beaten anyone without badly out rebounding them. They won't badly outrébound Tennessee.

I have always thought that playing 2 days in a row was an advantage over a first round bye. Stuff like this validates that thought. 3 days is a different story because that is about the point that I think physical fatigue would set in, but at two days you get comfortable and attain familiarity with the court and arena and get yourself into a little rhythm.

South Carolina players are just trying to stay alive..literally. Psycho Martin acts like he would like to rip their throat out and stomp on their heart! lol...Cussing obviously makes a good coach! (sarcasm)

I am not anti-CCM but the repercussions of playing poorly and managing to lose to SC tomorrow with as much on the line are mind-boggling. Please win.

Let's assume that Tennessee and Florida take care of business tomorrow. With Florida playing Missouri and Tennessee playing South Carolina followed by their game on Saturday, do you think Florida will be tireder on the consecutive days? I honestly believe Tennessee will pull the upset on Florida and I think Kentucky also if Kentucky does make it that far on the neutral court. I think Tennessee is set up to win it all, I really do!

Arkansas fell from RPI 58 to 72 with that loss. Buh-bye.

We are currently a solid 44th, but a similar fall to SC would put us 58th and out.

In a way, this Arky loss just made SC our first round NCAA game. The bubble just became irrelevant to Tennessee.

If both teams have only played a single regulation game on a single day, why would one team be more tired than the other?

Also why would you think that the number 1 team in the country at the moment (with only 2 losses all year) would be poorly conditioned, of all things?

Called this one when the bracket was released. Arkansas is one dimensional and Martins boys are tough, grind it out types. I still think we beat them by 15 plus.

Now if only bama can get past LSU, I think they'll take Kentucky in a close one.

Playing Florida only scared me after running with the Razorbacks. Like I said before, we need help from our bench. Florida will struggle more with Mizzou than we will with south carolina

So, the well-rested Vol team that's been winning at a remarkable clip lately will now take on a tired South Carolina team that could barely keep from finishing last in the conference standings. The odds are greatly in our favor, so everyone will be expecting us to put them out of their misery early in the first half. In other words, this game is setting up as a recipe for disaster.

Can't say that thought didn't creep into my mind

We should have a huge advantage over SC them playing their third game in three days and were certainly the more talented team. It is a great position to be in, but we could lose and if we do wouldn't doubt if were out of the NCAA as well. We better bring our A game with intensity those guys from SC are laying it all on the line. We need to win one game Florida want matter except could make our seed move way upwards if we win.
