after looking through those violations, one in particular stuck out. Apparently a track athlete practiced and competed without being enrolled as a full time student.

That seems like a pretty significant violation. Of course we're not talking about the QB on the football team or anything, but nevertheless all sports being held accountable under a particular standard, that violation sounds to me like it was deliberate.
