Watched it and have a few comments.

1) Though Spurrier didnt allow full hitting on their QB's, I think him allowing all of them to be hit and tackled shows that he really isnt sure which QB will be #1 and that neither are that great....

2) That hitting cost USC their #1 WR in Whiteside who will be out the entire year, per inside sources at a Rivals.com site.

3) Mitchell looked quite good for USC at QB though and their D has some tackles.

4) WR's dropped a lot of easy passes....trouble

First of all, ESPNU televised Mississippi State's game last weekend and is doing a bunch of others, so it has nothing to do with kissing Spurrier's butt.

I did watch parts of it and was mildly impressed. I saw SC 3 times in person last year and I would have never believed that SOS could purge that antiquated Lou Holtz offense out so fast. They are definitely going to be much more difficult to defend next year.

ESPNU is televising a bunch, but South Carolina is the only school(to my knowledge) that was shown on ESPN2.

The Miss St. game was on either ESPN or ESPN2 also because I don't get ESPNU and I saw a few plays of that game last week.
