I'm suddenly getting endless spam emails on my phone (my microsoft mail program catches them on the computer). I've tried the "unsubscribe" link multiple times without relief. Any other ideas?

And, no, I don't have an Ashley Madison account, so I'll head that one off at the pass :p

Never unsubscribe unless you signed up for a subscription.

Unsubscribing to random, unsolicited messsges will only give the spammers a confirmation that the e-mail account is valid and active.

Keep marking all that get through as SPAM and if you're lucky your e-mail service will eventually learn to filter them out.

Don't ask me why, but supposedly it can take up to a week for those spam mail systems to update once you unsubscribe.

It's probably from a porn site you went to. :p

Thats so they can send you a few more before they are supposed to remove you.

I do a little email marketing and when you hit unsubscribe it's instant in the system.

And be very careful when you give out your "official" email. Example, if your ISP is komkast, your official email would be something like john doe @ comcast.net - create and use a crap account on gmail for anything net related. I only use my offcial email for things like bank transactions, etc. Been doing this for years and may get 2-3 spam emails a year.
