What can you say after your starting QB makes your program the laughing stock of college football?
How has he made them the laughing stock? This is a stupid take. Most people, overwhelmingly, would think the Vols are the laughing stock if they retain this guy by giving in to his demands..

It is now being widely reported that the leadership players on the team are extremely pissed off at Nico. Sounds to me like Nico's made himself the laughing stock.

Nico has pretty much single-handedly ostracized himself from most of the rest of the team. Completely stupid move, but maybe this just needs to happen to maybe help settle some of this stuff moving forward.

I personally don’t see how Nico comes back from this considering he skipped practice today even if they were to give him the 99 million dollars.

I would have to feel screwed by him if I was his teammate and he went all the way through Spring as QB 1 to hold the coaches/teammates hostage at last minute. If he walks then QB 2&3 missed reps during spring with the 1&2s. We are not talking about QB 2 or 3 leaving to put themselves in better position. We are talking about our “leader“/QB1 pulling this move after spring and yes I know he is looking out for his future savings.

I just hope nobody else follows him into the portal after this.

It's not a good situation from what I've heard. People are hot and it may not be repairable. If others leave maybe it's better for the long term. Some spring cleaning. I think most reasonable fans are okay with taking short term losses for long term gains.

The fact that the state of Tennessee went to court for Nico so he could be our guy. He signed one of the biggest deals in the infancy of NIL - we put our faith in him, paid him to sit and learn for a year - and he pulls this crap on the eve of the Orange and White game!

How does any of this make anyone come out clean?

The State of Tennessee sued the NCAA primarily over the Nico situation and this is the thanks they get. Wow

Where is Heupel today after practice? He should address the media or someone about Nico’s absence today. Would put some clarity to the situation one way or the other, and stop all the negativity IF there’s a legitimate reason. ????
CJH plays everything close to the vest, do you really feel like he owes us any explanation about an ongoing situation? Grow up.

HC can’t speak on these matters. Must be separation just like the NFL. This is the NFL farm league.

And all you would get if anything is coach speak nonsense. Personally I don’t care too much about what most coaches say to the media. Only a small handful that say anything of import and Heupel isn’t one of them.
