Special teams

Can we just give it up for our field goal kicker- our punter (who figured it out left and right foot) and kickoff and punt team - and of course Dee Williams in the return game .

This years team is different- and our special teams have been a giant part of the wins.

(Boring post… just watching some game film and see where we have improved from meh/ok to excellent excites me)

I love our coaching staff.

Our kicker lit it up this Saturday. Game ball worthy almost. I was surprised that Dee was not given the green light on the 2 kickoffs that he fielded.

I was surprised too. Seems like a waste of special talent to me…..

Agreed - I was horrified and worried about the punt game after Virginia but since then he's been great. Ole Charles has been great in the FG game as well. Love to see it.

Special team play has been very solid. GBO! Coach Eckler is a very good coach!

They were scary at the beginning of the year. Now they are pretty solid. Love our place kicker. Not the strongest leg but deadeye accurate. Inside 50 is almost a given.

Eckler is a great coach. He gets a lot of the credit for our edge rushers also .
