Sensational Schaeffer: Former UT quarterback Brent Schaeffer got off to a fast start in his first game at College of the Sequoias in Visalia, Calif. Schaeffer led his new team to a 54-0 win over San Jose City College.

Schaeffer, who left UT after his freshman year amid disciplinary concerns, had a school record six touchdowns, four passing and two rushing.

Schaeffer was 6-of-10 passing for 207 yards and was the game's leading rusher with 82 yards on six carries.

"Brent was outstanding,'' head coach Curtis Allen told the Tulare Advance Register. "People around here have no idea how good he really is.''

Since he said he wanted to transfer back to an SEC School. Can we say Spurrier Prospect?

God I hope not.

I really think Urban might make a push for him.

Can you imagine him in THAT offense????

I'll bet Maryville could beat the team they were playing against.

San Jose City College, people...my goodness, get a grip. The guy is a darn good athlete, but let's consider the competition here.

Don't sell San Jose City College short . . . I think they are on Auburn's schedule next year.

That might be bad news for Auburn.

I think he has his choices to AU,FLA, and USC of the schools he wants to transfer to right? Well AU got to high profile committments from 2 QB's so and Cox is only like a sophomore....I think FLA is probably the most logical choice because the QB at USC is only a sophomore

I would say Florida sounds likely as well. Still a no-go for Texas A&M, though? I think he could be awesome there.

Do you guys realize the level of competition he was playing against? I mean we have seen him play against SEC caliber talent and he wasn't impressive.

Schaeffer is probably the better choice over the two we have, anyway....at least that was my feeling last year.

No, I thought that San Jose City College and their competition was right up there with the SEC. I mean, could there really be that much difference ?
