I had my 30 year high school reunion this weekend in Ktown. I went to Bearden. It was so awesome to connect with all of my classmates. I didn't get to attend a Vols practice like I wanted too but man, every time I come down, it's like an updated blood transfusion. "More orange please!" The difference between Maryland and Tennessee is 1 out of every 10 people in Maryland will have a Terps shirt, hat, or whatever. In Knoxville. 9 out of every 10. Awesome. We are Tennessee.

That's great to hear.....I went to Carter and am not very close to a thirty year reunion but when I do get down there I wear my orange and try and visit campus...get a beer and some good food! Glad to hear that K-town is repping it good!

I got to spend a couple of days there about a month ago, first time in a couple of years. Lived in Florida for several years, now a bit closer, but still first time in a while. Anyway, its always great to get to Knoxville, but I was a bit disappointed in the Strip. I went to UT back with the Lap/Library, Ivy's, OCI, and others, but now there seemed to be lots of empty storefronts. Also nowhere to buy Vols gear other than the UT bookstore and Alumni Hall on the west end of town. What happened to all the other places- Campus Bookstore at 17th and Cumberland, Hound Dogs, Rocky Top Books, among others? I know...online retailers, but still disappointing.

Dollar night at the lap and the library. Tall Paul... Good times.

Similar experience this weekend visiting the Knoxville area for the first time since the Oregon game. I moved out of Tennessee after college in 1999 and every time I make it back it renews the passion for the Vols. Even listening to a few hours of sports talk radio about the Vols was a luxury. Hoping to bring my son to his 1st Vols game next fall for my 40th.

Just a note from my trip downtown to the campus, just thought I would check out the renovations and how they are coming along.

The tailgate parking lot across from the stadium: The have built a brick wall along the parking lot with limestone caps, added some tress and landscaping islands in the parking area. The issue I see is the spacing of the parking spots, they look to be for a mini cooper size vehicle. I know 95% of the boosters that part their drive big SUVs to the game, hope they don't try to squeeze the same amount of vehicles in this lot.

The building that replace the book store (student center) look to be getting closer, but I don't see it completing before this season is over. But it is sweet looking reno

Stockley is gone, looks to be carving the new foundation for the new building along with the extra field for the football team.

Other renos are in process, to say the least UT is going thru a face lift that will update the campus look soon.

If you were a true Vol, you would dump your family and move back to Knoxvegas.

Looking to buy my retirement land very soon my friend. There is nothing in this world that makes me happier than thinking about retiring back on Rocky Top.

Stokely gone? WOW a lot of history went down with that building. I watched Ernie & Bernie play there, saw Elvis, Beach Boys, Steve Martin, and Elton John there among others....Bought a ton of UT clothing there....Sad day
