I don't think this scenario works; especially since USC already has been beaten twice.

I could honestly see it happening again. I don't think it would be justified at all, but the media has an agenda to defeat the BCS.
The AP National Championship is every bit as legit as the coaches poll. Considering that Florida is #2 in the AP, I don't see then getting jumped by Michigan if they win their bowl game.
