Are all of these practices open or closed to the public.
If open, will anyone from Volnation be watching any of them and possibly be reporting.
I live 3 hours away impossible for me. I am interested in a red shirt , Marsalous Johnson, fast d-back, for one.

I think they are all closed dut to a spying issue that happened a few years back.

I think they have a portion that is open for the media and then a closed practice where they make everyone leave.

Govols.com and UTsports usually has some Fulmer comments, clips, etc.

Crompton is healthy and able to take part fully. Should be iteresting coming out of the spring how the depth chart shapes up.

Man, I'm excited about this year's spring practice. Can't get here soon enough. So many things to look forward to. I really wish everyone was healthy. I hope Rico McCoy is 100% and at full speed. Chavis absolutely loves this guy at LB. Wish Jerod Mayo was gonn be ready, Josh McNeil, etc.

I hope Crompton is 100% and ready to battle. Not sure if he is or not. I know the staff hasn;t been allowing him to do 7-on-7 drills, so AInge has been organizing those and running all the drills. That gives him a "leg up" in the competition, but it should be fun to watch. I can't wait

Thoughts on spring practice:

Anxious to see the secondary, just in terms of seeing whether or not the staff is gonna be able to move Hefney back to CB like they are wanting to. Really wanna see Morely AND Antonio Wardlow at safety.(I think Wardlow is a guy to really keep an eye on this year).

Wanna see Adam Myers-White at LB. McCoy if he is healthy. Also, a lot of people are doubting Ryan Karl, so I'm anxious to see how he looks as a starter.

Anxious to see the young guys at DT, Bolden and Richard. With the loss of McDaniel, this spring his HUGE for them to "take that next step". I believe both have the ability to be really good players. Already know what Harrell and McBride can do. Anxious to see young Robert Ayers and Walter Fisher Jr at DE. X-man was playing terrific before his injury and is gonna be a stud.

WR: Reports are that Jayson Swain and Robert Meachem are as "light" as they have been since arriving in Knoxville. Cutcliffe felt they were too bulky and demanded they lose weight. They have done just that. Anxious to see how they react to Cut and Trooper. Anxious to see Taylor, Rogers, and Briscoe.

This spring is very important for the OL. Sears is a good one. Ramon Foster has a lot of ability. He was only a RS freshman last year and player a lot. I like him as a player. Eric Young. I'm telling you the guy has all the physical tools to be an All-SEC type OT. He just has to take the next step from a mental standpoint. He has to allow his coaches to trust that he isn't gonna have a busted play in a critical moment. He has ability. Important spring for David Ligon, Anthony Parker who coulds be the starting center and Ligon at guard. Very important for young Chris Scott. Not sure if Darius Myers from Hargave is already here or not. The guy I think is gonna make a terrific guard prospect is Dan Williams. Just watch and see. He might be another year away, since he just made the fulltime swith to that position, but watch and see if he doesnt turn out to be very good. Big, strong, very athletic, etc. Gonna be good.

RBs are all hurt. Corey Anderson better step up this spring or he wil lose his job to David Holbert. Anxious to see how th TE is gonna be used now that Cutcliffe is here. Needs to be more of a weapon and I believe it will be.

lol...so much to look forward to. If you can't tell.....I'm pretty pumped for the spring...lol.

I heard Swain has lost 15-20 pounds and Meachem is down too in response to Cut telling the WRs he wants them "faster & quicker" and that he is only going to use a 4-5 man rotation. Understand Cut also has a no earring or jewelry policy for meetings and to not be late. He has already closed the door on a few WRs that wer 2 mins late.

Sounds like Discipline time in Tennessee!

I wonder what kind of shape Mapu will be in. Does anyone have any idea?

He is a big kid, but from what I have heard he will be in playing shape quickly. Mormons are typically very "responsible" in terms of what they put in their bodies, and they still walk and ride bikes while on mission. I think we will be pleasantly surprised when he reports.

A blind man could see what this squad needed. Hours and hours of intense swety work, and a strict disciplinary policy....Work em coach Cut! B)

Agreed, it's hard to get in trouble when you're too tired to move!
