Alright... Has anyone on the board ever been down to see the teams and everything?

Curiosity, because my spring break falls at a perfect time to go down and see a buncha teams play some baseball. I've pitched the idea to some people and we all like it, plus my Nationals will be there.

If anyone has gone... Thoughts? Going to different cities for specific teams? Seeing the teams practice and seeing all of the action? Just how is it?

The Nationals are in Viera, and have 3 games in Viera when i would be there... Is the city the team is linked with where they practice each day as well, or what? I may sound dumb asking all of this, but I love the idea and want specifics to make it more possible.

Thank you all and play BALL!

If you've got the chance, by all means go. It's about the most laid back experience imaginable.

The last time I went down there, we drove around from Orlando to the Lakeland/Clearwater area and hopped around from city to city since there are about 4-5 teams all right there together and a short drive apart. We just basically looked at a schedule and then booked rooms at Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn type places.

I'm very excited for it. It is seeming like it'll happen and i've heard it's a greatttt experience.

The Phillies home in Clearwater is one of the best minor league parks in the country. It's usually always perfect weather in March, i will be making many stops there myself.
The Jays ST home is just 5 minutes north in Dunedin, a small town on the coast, if you can catch the game on St Patty's Day it's an all day event, the game itself will be a lunchtime start with the Jays wearing green and then the whole town becomes a huge pub crawl of awesomeness.

I used to live down there and it was great we would go to a few games every year. The best time I ever had was at Vero when the Dodgers still played there. It is a shame they left.
