Is closing practice from now on.

I know a lot of people agree with these moves, but I hate closed practices.

I bet SS jumped at the opportunity to say he got the idea from Fulmer, didn't he?

I've never had a problem with it. It's the coach's call. A lot of them do it to cut down on distractions and they are all paranoid about spying.
Spurrier may actually be installing some new wrinkles that he doesn't want to get out. I can't say the same for us.

OK Hat . . .er . . . Freak.

Spurrier is probably adding more of those plays where he splits the Tackles 20 yards off the ball.

I won't be convinced until he says that his gamecocks are "working like heck"
I heard he is already looking for the Hidden Cave of Magic Dust.

(did I really just say that? You people are rubbing off on me.)

If it wasnt for the people scouting practices i.e. Tommy Bowden, this wouldn't have been necessary. I used to love to read the paper's analysis of each days practice. Sad, the state of sports and the length people will go to get an unfair advantage.

When I heard that Bowden scouted UT practices before their bowl game in 2003, and that was why Fulmer decided to close practices, I lost complete respect for Bowden. I had heard that same year on a christian radio station talkin about how important his faith was to him. Funny how he doesn't let that interfere with his ethics, the man's a disgrace.

Again, I think the whole practice scouting thing was just Fulmer looking for someone to blame. Was it really a secret at that point what we were going to do?

We should be able to tell them our next play and still win.

That's true freak, but I still don't think that ethics and Bowden should be in the same paragraph.

Maybe Fulmer was trying to keep that illusion that he actually puts together a gameplan before each game....:mega_shok:

he took a beating in local media here for being paranoid and closing practices....which is fine...cause i remember local media in knoxville taking it pretty hard when CPF closed his practices...at least it seems to be being treated fairly in the eyes of the all knowing media.
