Stacey Campfield - Homosexuals Don't Naturally Reproduce

No duh.

How about worrying about how the Tennessee schools need major overhauling.

This is the new America. Argue about crap that is doesn't matter after the vote is over, and the real problems just sit there smiling back at you.

I love how politicians ignore REAL problems and try to legislate 'morality'. Focus on the economy, jobs, etc. Morals are to be taught at home, not in the statehouse.

It is my opinion that Tennessee is acting within constitutional bounds, but this is horrible policy for a free society. Controversies like this could be completely avoided if we had publicly-funded education rather than government manufactured education.

I suspect as 2012 gets closer we will see a lot more of the stupid issues being argued instead of the ones that actually matter.

As far as this, it's a state thing. Let them do what they want. If somebody sees a problem it will get argued in Federal Court.

You are right, there are no moral components to our laws...WAIT WHAT?

Do you know anything about not only the history of our country but the bedrock upon which the entire Western legal system is based?

And yes, Droski, I am a libertarian who believes that some aspects of morality (the rule of law that says my inalienable rights to life, liberty and property are granted by God and worth protecting) are rightly recognized and defended governmentally.

Enlightenment Philosophy built upon Classical Greece Philosophy, the majority of which held the status of the individual high above the "good of society".

You do know that there is no explicit reference to those being granted by a Christian God, correct? In fact, the "inalienable rights" reference is based more on natural law deism than on any theology.

Whatever, dude. Take a valium and let ME decide what morals I believe and let ME teach MY children what I think is important. If you want government doing that for you, that's your choice.

I am WELL VERSED in history, at least The University of Tennessee says so. Way to make wild assumptions about someone you know nothing about. No wonder you are so disliked on the football forum.:eek:hmy:

oh hahahah. Are you one of the people who tries to sell that the Founders were deists and not Christians? Awesome. Almost feels like a troll it is so easily disproven. Yes TJ and BF were not evangelicals, but you would be dead wrong to try to argue that the majority of the founders were anything but Christians.

I do not believe that the state should be funding or forcing education. So...right.

I believe that "legislating morality" is an idiotic phrase that is used by people who love some aspects of legislated morality to complain about some other legislated morality they disagree with.

I was not even arguing the merits of teaching or not teaching homosexuality in schools, I was simply saying that legislating morality is fundamental to our entire system.

You are right, everyone in the football forum hates my guts http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-football/128683-game-season-october-8th.html

Correct, the majority of the founders were Christians; however, the majority of the political philosophy that influenced their construction of the Constitution came from the persons I mentioned (sans JS Mill who came later).

Thanks for playing.

I thought the quote was going to be something about NAMBLA and molestation. This is much more pedestrian than a discussion about how homosexuals recruit...

Didn't you just have a kid? Get out of here, breeder. :)

not quite yet (we enjoy the peace and quiet now) however it took over 1.5yrs to get to this point. Found out it's not as easy as a couple bad choices after tequila shots :)
