Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searles accepted the offensive line job at Texas. Link

I'm somewhat surprised by this move by Searles, since he played and recruited in the SEC. I thought he would be a SEC lifer but I guess $$$$ talks and BS walks!

Looks like offensive line coach, Searels is leaving UGA for Texas. Any offensive lineman we might snag away from UGA?

Whether he has been in the SEC the whole time or not it seems like it may be a sign that change is coming soon and this could be CMR last year in Georgia. I would also say that the first sub par year Les Miles has at LSU, he will be gone too.

I agree with the OP. A good friend of mine is Searles's 2nd cousin--when UTC played Cincinatti in 2002 in the pre-season basketball, we went up to Cincy and stayed with Searles at his home, he got us our tickets, blah blah blah. Great guy, really nice, but the funny thing was that even though he was currently (at that time) the O-line coach at Cincy, in the bottom of his house, he had a little Auburn shrine dedicated to himself and Bo Jackson since he blocked for him back in the 80s. It was actually pretty cool to see. :) The other strange thing that happened, was that 2 hours after my friend and I left to come back to Chattanooga, Nick Saban called him and brought him in as the O-line coach at LSU. Just kinda cool that I could have been there to witness that phone call had I stayed another 2 hours. Anyway--I thought for sure, myself, that that would be the beginning of the rest of his life in the SEC. Guess I was wrong and the OP is right. $$$$$ Talks and BS walks. :)

And cue the "cool story bro" comments in 3...2...1... :hi:

Georgia's OL has been pathetic of late. Fans will probably celebrate his departure.

Oh no! So this means we are destined to lose a coach to replace him. Right?

Why? I am a UT homer myself, but why would you say that

I will never believe a top recruit signed with Auburn w/o getting a crap-load of $$. There is zero reason to waste 4 years of your life in that hell-hole apart from tons of money. And Chizik is an idiot. Why play for him?

That is so funny. You sound just like all the bama fans down here. It is funny how Auburn seems to get top recruits at the last second out of no where.
