I think it's the West sideline, but I get screwed up every time I try to think of which direction is which inside the stadium.

The sideline painted orange is the side the team stands on.

Doc,
Didn't they teach you anything in med school?  The Tennessee bench is on the east sideline.

My bad! It's Monday and I'm actually feeling a little under the weather. Can't imagine where I would've caught anything.

I'm with GAVol, for some reason I always get turned around, and I was thinking our seats were in DD last year, but it was actually UU.

SO. . . . . long story short, it is the EAST sideline, right in front of the student section. It sets up that way so that the players are more visible (from the front) to cameras and the old press box, I believe.

Seems like I remember the NCAA ruling several years ago that the visiting team can't be in front of the home student section. Does anyone remember if this is true...or if I dreamed it? Seems like that is when UT switched from the West side to the East side. UT didn't want to move the student section.

If you notice when UT goes to Florida, they have about 8 to 10 rows of UT fans right behind the Tennessee bench....(not sure from what yard-line to what yard-line.) This way, they can say the visitors are not right in front of the student section.

Someone straighten me out if this is not right.

:disappointed: Should have known better than to try and figure out which direction anything is. I should have known this though. We're one of the few teams you will ever see with their bench on the East sideline since that is the sunny side during an afternoon game.
