The key words in your post are that Cut could do "a decent job"!!!

I do not want a coach that would do a "decent job". I want a coach that will do a "Great Job"! Tennessee is a storied program.

FYI. Cut has a losing record as a head coach at 65 and 66.

He had a good record at Miss and took over a Duke team that was winning 1 or 2 games a year. You have to look a little deeper than just record. I'm not saying offer him the job. Just saying I think he could help advance the program if called upon.

jhen.... we can agree to disagree but I will say that Cut will not be the next HC of the Vols... Not now - Not Ever.

I don't think he will either. I do think he could get the job done though. It would just take a few years. The fan base doesn't have the patience. My first choice would be Charlie Strong. Gruden would make the biggest rock star impact, but I'm not sold on him wanting the job, or wanting to hang around for long if he did take it.
