I wouldn't be surprised if WSU pulled an upset in this game.

1. Leach had Auburn on the ropes at Auburn and beat USC @ USC (first time WSU has beaten USC is about 13 years.

2. It's probably easier to get from Knoxville to Eugene than it is to get from Palo Alto to Pullman, WA. Stanford will fly charter obviously so that's not as bad as it sounds. Gear will be driven up 900 miles (15 hours). Team will likely stay in Moscow ID as no decent hotels in Pullman. One decent one in Moscow. Point is this place isn't on most maps of the USA.

3. If any of you thought Autzen was small, check out WSU's stadium. Wind and cold are common in that stadium. California boys don't always adjust well. Probably 60 degrees at kick off and 50 in the fourth quarter. This is a night game 7 pm kickoff.

Just saying it's a weird place, sort of like being on an other planet.

The game is in Seattle not Pullman. Wasu's offense sucks. No chance they score enough to beat Stanford.

Neither Auburn or USC are in Stanford's class.

Didn't say they were, just that WSU is playing much better this year. They would have been blown out by either of those schools last year. I have a great respect for how dangerous Leach coached teams can be.

Well "Damn" I thought it was in Pullman...... Seattle...... Big advantage Stanford. Probably hoping too much.
Off to the shed with you :p

You are correct in post #7...can't coast or sleep on a Leach coached team.

I don't think beating USC this year is much to brag about.

USC still has plenty of talent, much more talent than WSU, really my point was that WSU is outperforming and getting more out of their talent than many other teams. That makes them dangerous. They remind me a bit of Fresno State right now. Throw and catch and throw and catch and throw and catch some more...........

That can be explosive and dangerous if an opponent makes just one or two mistakes. When I thought it was in Pullman I thought the travel, weather and surroundings could impact the kids from California. Seattle, big city, great facilities, easier travel, better hotels etc. much less impact. Still might get cold that night.

Haha. All I could think of to say.

I mean, maybe their gear will be tired from the drive?

Is Stanford, CA on most maps? I mean... yeesh. yeeeeeesh.

OP should actually read:

I hope Washington State beats Stanford and also Pullman is a smaller town than some places. The stadium they may or may not be playing in is also small so I hope Stanford loses.
