I enjoyed the first episode, creator was given ok by lucasfilm to produce and post on YouTube if the video was not monetized. Might be worth a watch for the fanatics, may the force be with you.

Really fun and well made. Excited to see the rest of the series.

Little too morbid for me. Jumped into action too quick. Just about turned it off until the second blaster sequence. Nostalgia kicked in.

Someone put a lot of time and thought into it; and $. To that I give them credit. Did I see Sir Ian's name in credits?

To get from point A to Z one has to dodge and weave in and out of lots of SW immersion. In and out officlal SW lineage.

The notion Anakin is dead. Assuming Vader maso is worn by Luke, or, even Leah. That was always an interesting story. Palpatine's ghost could have assumed another body. But both are dead. Somebody got some splainin to do there. I appreciate the nod to DV's Anakin powers, which were 'accurate'; as I recall.

All in all. Too much for me, but I never was a huge comic nerd. Seems graphic novelish.

I think it will gain traction, mostly because DV is such a famous character but still so much mystery surrounding him. Also the majority of SW fans wanted to see this type of power/action from Luke from the new movies and what they got was something embarrassing and pathetic. I think the series has the opportunity to press all the right buttons for fans.

So it is Luke?

No it is Vader (Anakin), this is supposed to take place sometime after episode 3, the purple lightsaber Jedi is supposed to be mace windu who is not dead.

thought someone said 'Anakin is dead'.

its a shame that Hayden Christiansens rendition. along with the entirety of the prequels dont die.

The text at the beginning of the show says "Anakin Skywalker is dead" which is a reference to what Obiwan tells Luke in return of the Jedi from his certain point of view, essentially Vader is completely given over to the dark side and he is no longer Anakin Skywalker. And yeah prequels were disappointing, but episode 1 lightsaber duel ranks pretty high up there in starwars moments for me.

The prequels are actually growing in popularity as the people that saw them as kids start to age into adulthood and control the zeitgeist. So I wouldn't hold your breath. The prequels are not THAT bad, that narrative is tired.

Anakin is figuratively dead. Darth Vader is all the remains.

That was pretty well done for a fan made production.

I’ve watched some Star Wars Theories videos. Guy does a pretty good job on those too.

LOL no. The prequels are categorically bad and no amount of passed time changes that.

However what I WILL say is the prequels were bad movies that were chock full of great ideas! Those great ideas were just poorly executed in the prequels. The Clone Wars animated series showed that when put in the right hands, those great ideas can be turned into great story telling.

George Lucas has always been an idea man. He has serious difficulty executing them though, sadly...

Clone Wars made me appreciate the prequels more than I did on the original run. That and my kids love them which gives a different perspective as well (they still like the 4-6 best though).

I’ve actually met some people recently who are definitely casual fans that swear they like the prequels the best. They were on the younger side so I chalked it up to being what they grew up with..... and just not being raised right 🤪

Totally agree about the big ideas vs poor execution. Ironically I think the Disney era is lacking the big ideas but has had pretty decent execution (we don’t have to get into a TLJ debate).

I'll agree with this, though I think the storyline in the prequels was spot on save some in depth crap they didn't need to get into.

And Jar-Jar which we won't talk about.

Looking back though, the prequels are motion picture of the year quality compared to Ep. VII and VIII.
