Usually I think these are cheap motivational ploys that don't work, but honestly if I'm Martin, at this point, you have to find a way to get through to this team.

Next game go with

Thompson
McRae
Hubbs
Moore
Davis

Give the freshmen a chance. Show the upperclassmen playing time is EARNED.

Definitely Thomson. Dude is a gem and a great steal. At least we know who ever come in next year has talent to work with. We all know stokes ain't going pro. Can we throw the bank at Smart? That would be sweet

I think fans are tired of not seeing their favorite basketball team that they support not being close to the top 25. And, probably tired of watching subpar performance by the team and coaching staff. JMHO.

I'd rather have a girl out there coaching and show some kind of passion than let him sit there like he just smoked a huge blunt.

Hell I'm for whatever at this point and I like all 3 of the freshman. Hope they don't jump ship if he gets fired though. Can't see anyone of them wanting to sit out a year though...Thompson is one hell of a player.

Not sure different guys on the floor will help this team. You've got no offensive scheme whatsoever.
4 guys standing around chuckin 3s is not motion offense.
Add only playing defense in the second half and you'll won't win many.

Exactly. I've seen better coaching in AAU.

If you start the freshmen under CM, they will see their careers declining before they finish their first year of college. Better of riding the pine until a good coach comes in.

I don't understand all the love for Thompson - while he does pass the ball - he constantly can't keep up with his man and can't shoot it in the ocean. If he took 10 more 3 pointers today he misses 10 more 3 pointers.

Face it, besides Jordie Mac this team lacks guys that can make shots. And it appears to be getting worst each game.

Stokes needs to be used as a high post player. His jump shot isn't that bad, but his low post moves and footwork is terrible. If this team would just high screen and role with some back cuts then McRae and Stokes could be effective together. I'd start Thompson, Barton, McRae, Davis, and Stokes and the entire game Id 1-3-1 box press on every made shot, and I'd push every defensive rebound I obtained. In the half court Id run double high screen post with one post rolling to basket while the other one would either be setting a new screen for the guard out on the wing to cut to basket or he'd get the ball for a high low. The most important thing is to create space through movement, so once a post rolls to the basket he needs to clear the paint to allow good floor spacing. Hints the reason they call it a motion offense and not roll and sit like a sack of potatoes in the paint offense like we currently run.

Sure would beat the 7 suits mentioned by the media.

It's bc he is new and the back up. He does show potential though.

I always thought when we fired CBP that we should have gone after the coach at Butler who was taking his team to back to back finals. That would have been a great hire, I think.
