Starting 5 against Georgia?

What's everyone's thoughts on the starting 5 against Georgia now that Uros is cleared?

My thoughts:
Vescovi
JJJ
Pons
Fulk
Uros

With Bowden coming off the bench.
I think it will be difficult to play Fulkerson, Pons, and Uros together much at all. We're already limited in our ability to handle the ball. Vescovi and James aren't explosive penetrators and Pons is basically a two dribble guy so putting him at the three limits us even more. Like most of us I haven't seen Uros play. Maybe he can play at the three, but I would be shocked if that was the case.

It will be interesting to see but I'm expecting to see Olivier's minutes decrease.

I am also think he starts and everyone goes back to their natural position while he is in the game. I anticipate foul trouble, considering who we are playing, so he will be in and out. I'm sure the viewing audience will be high for this game. Take up space in the paint, alter some shots and grab some rebounds. This is help a struggling team. This team needed a driving point guard and a presence inside, what a gift!

Anyone thinking Uros makes a big splash tonight is going to be disappointed. I don’t think he plays much with little impact tonight

Not really pushing for Pons to be moved back to the three. I do wonder about who can check Edwards, though?

I think the starting line up stays the same. Bring Uros off the bench, slide Fulk to the 4 when Pons goes out and back to the 5 when Uros is out. Pons maybe can slide to the 3 at times but he’s been much more successful at the 4. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Pember get more minutes than Nkamhoua. Maybe they try Bowden off the bench tonight, but Fulk and Pons have been are best two players, I don’t see either getting benched and I don’t see Pons moving back to the 3 for the bulk of his minutes.

I have not watched Georgia play this year. So, I guess the matchups could dictate who starts. Having said that, I expect it is likely that this will be the starting lineup. That is a pretty nice starting lineup, if you ask me.

Edit: I can't believe I said that a starting lineup with 3 freshmen is a good thing. That aspect is certainly not good, but with Bowden's current slump, and not a lot of other choices, "it is what it is."

The NCAA Clearing House just boggles my mind. Why all of a sudden does Uros become immediately eligible?
I was thinking it could be January as new semester begins on January 13 and he basically has sit out a year and a half. Seems January is when a lot of transfers become eligible in every sport kentucky just gained a women's basketball player on january 3 that had transferred there last September. Think it has something to do with sitting out so many semesters of school or it could be the NCAA doesn't have a clue and were playing tick tack toe and we won.

I'm going with this for best scoring punch. Expect a lot of different variations thru the game though. i look for Barnes to honor the young man's patience and effort in practice. he's like that.

I like this lineup, even if its just for 5 minutes. It will at least throw off Georgia and give us a rebounding advantage inside. Pons guarding Edwards will keep JJJ/Bowden out of foul trouble and JJJ can attack Edwards on the other end. Let's face it, we have to do something different or we will keep getting the same results. You know that whole insanity thing.

Big Splash Agree No Big Splash. Effective minutes yes. IMO, because he has been with the team and practiced in CRBs system he is much better prepared than SV was to make an immediate impact defensively.
This game will be interesting to watch because of UP's presence on the court. His presence has turned this into a winnable game.
