Our legislature here in GA is scratching their heads trying to figure out how to handle moving to a similar system or anything different one than what we have now. Of course they cannot even figure out how to handle a tax surplus so this will take a while to work out.

I've been on board with this since 2000. My Congressman is the leading voice for this. The campaign I worked on in 2002 actually got my Senator to take some time to read up and become a believer as well.

Well this is how taxes ARE supposed to be. Big Government is bad for the people but most American's are too ignorant with their vote to make a difference.

If Georgia gets rid of the income tax, I would actually consider living there. But right now, it is not an option.

The GOP leadership is actually debating the options to switch to. Of course preparing to squander a major surplus goes far to proclaim their credibility in making such a move.

The Fair Tax is easily the best government revenue generating plan that is currently being articulated.

Well, most property taxes are local. The FairTax is a proposed federal revenue plan. Therefore, it does not apply.
