States top ten?

I was just wondering if any of the recruiting guru's know how many of the states top ten recruits are we recruiting or if any we we offered went elsewhere. I know we have picked up Downs, Crowder and Kerbyson and I also know we are recruiting Clear and Richardson. Am I missing any?

Jabriel Washington is another in-state guy. He is currently committed to Bama, and I don't believe the staff is really recruiting him anymore. The only other guys I can think of are Cody Richardson who has a couple SEC offers but will likely not get one from UT, and Devrin Young who I believe also does not have a UT offer.

I was wondering if anyone had a list of the state's top recruits for 2011. For some reason, the Rivals TN state ranking is not coming up.

It will change quite a bit in their updated rankings, but this was their original Top 10.
Crowder will definitely jump up. His offers are way better than the #5, #6, and #8 guys in their pre-season Top 10.

I'm not exactly sure to be honest. I dont know if they update them when the prospect rankings are updated or if they wait until a later date.

Usually you can tell who jumped just by looking at each of the 10 guys updated ranking though.

I think Artaves Gibson has to be somewhere on that list or at least he will be after this season.

What about the Brentwood DB (King) ? I thought we were high on him but haven't seen much lately.

Does anyone know if Washington is a solid alabama commit? With all the momentum with in state recruits do we have a chance at getting him back? I am sure we have some better db's on our radar jus wondering though

I was under the impression (from posts I've read here) that we were still after Washington pretty hard. Also, isn't the main issue with Redden his grades? Seems like I picked that up on here also.

thanks for that list, as others said the rivals link has been broke for a while. i was trying to tell my dad about these recent commits and how in state recruiting was lookin and couldnt remember them all

im very happy getting the in state guys, we could get 7 of top 10 for first time in a LONG time

per rivals heres how many of top 10 have signed with UT recently
2005 : 6 (missed on #1/#2 - turner/oher)
2006 : 4
2007 : 4
2008 : 3
2009 : 5

while i appreciate our players from all 50 states , a lot can be said about playing for your home state school. they bring loud family and friends to games, they spread our beautiful orange all across the state at thier respective schools , and it snowballs over time . we need to get back to the point where in state players dont even THINK about goin anywhere else.

Tino Thomas from Memphis Melrose... I think he ends up a Vol.
