As promised here are the stats for the NASCAR pick'em for 2007.
The following were in the top 5 at one point or another during the season:
Dan4vols, TennFan, Rocky Top, #10-Ainge-#10, Crimedawg12, Volmania21, Sufsidebeachvol, Tidwell, Doozer, XTennesseeX, la.lovesorange, JennVols, FineVol
The following were some of the best weeks we had:
(1)Martinsville: 14 of 30 had scores over 800
(2) Darlington: 13 of 28 had scores over 800
(3) Richmond: 12 of 30 had over 800
(4) Loudon: 11 of 27 had over 800
(5) Phoenix: 11 of 30 had over 800
The worst overall week was at Kansas. The highest score was 649
Several people broke the 800 barrier during the season and some more than once. Here is a list of the top scores for the season.
(1) Doozer - 887
(2) Volman130 - 886 (last race)
(3) Doozer - 883
(4) Volman130 - 880
(5) Mybloodrunnethorange - 879
(6) dmc5150 - 876
(7) kkep48 - 875
(8) tie Tidwell -874
Surfsidebeachvol -874
TennFan - 874
Most consistent players in the top 5 most of the season:
Tidwell, Surfsidebeachvol, TennFan, FineVol, Volmania21
We had as many as 36 people at one point or another and averaged at least 25-28 each week.
It was an interesting season to say the least.
As many as 5-6 people remained in the running for the top spot with 3 races to go.
We had 2 people break the 25,000 point barrier and 9 others broke the 24,000 barrier. I'm hoping we have at least 6 break 25,000 in 2008.
I'm hoping to get some support for 2008. I'll be away for the first two races (on a Caribbean cruise in mid Feb) and again for the Darlington race in May.
I will post the first two races but will need someone to do the stats for the races I mentioned. As the year progresses, I'll let you know when I need additional support. However, in between I'll ask for some to post the race and do the stats as I'd like someone else to pickup along the way. I've got 5 other boards, all with 8-12 people playing and am hoping I can get someone else to pick up some of those responsibilities as I only want to assist in only 2 or 3 and do 1-2 most of the time. Appreciate all the help I've gotten this past season. I know it's a lot to ask. This is the busiest board for NASCAR that I work. It started just two years ago (I think) with only the Chase and has ballooned from there. AWESOME!
Thanks guys and gals.
Wishing you all the best for the Holiday season. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year. May 2008 be the best for all of us and may all of your dreams come true and you get richly blessed during the coming year!
