Batting average

Jeff Moberg........ .556
Vincent Jackson.. .474
Chris Hall.......... .455
Nick Senzel....... .440
Benito Santiago. .429
Derek Lance...... .364
Max Bartlett...... .278
Tyler Schultz..... .250
Jordan Rodgers.. .231

RBI
Nick Senzel........15
Jordan Rodgers...13
Vincent Jackson...9
Chris Hall...........8
Jeff Moberg........5
Derek Lance.......5
Matt Waldren......3
Benito Santiago...2
Max Bartlett.......2
Tyler Schultz......2

There are two names on this list that stand out like a sore thumb. Just remember the starts that Chris Hall and Benito Santiago had in 2015. This is so 180 degrees different it's unbelievable.

I think this team and this program is "due" for a season where the breaks fall their way.

The last two seasons have been brutal injury wise and I would love to see guys like Vincent Jackson stay healthy for an entire spring.

I don't believe we will see five guys batting over .400 but if we can have 6-7 guys over .300 with no major injures, then not only will we make the NCAA tournament, we will also be hosting a regional.

I know cart before the horse. but our team is well out of first gear at the start of the season. Something that has not happened in any degree since CDS's first season on the Hill

Some really freakish RBI numbers for sure, but how often do you score 20+ runs twice in a weekend series? For Rogers to have 13 RBI's in only 6 games and only be hitting .231 wreaks of Dave Kingman!

I'm guessing it has everything to do with the guys in front of him. Then he only has to walk, HBP, sac Fly and anything to drive in the runs.

So the guys in front of him are obviously getting on with less than 2 outs

Who'da thunk it...you just never know. Definitely tough to maintain this pace, but heck, aren't we due...oh, yeah...would love to go to Bama this year and I'll hitchhike to Omaha if we continue this magic..:pepper:

He had a Grand Slam the first game, stand up double the second game, triple the third game, he can hit!! Pretty soon others will drop in! Coach Serrano doesn't have him hitting 5th for no reason!
He is a Gamer!!

I don't think he implied Rodgers wasn't hitting but just stating that with a .231 average and 2nd in team RBI's, he's putting the ball in play via sac fly, hitting behind runners, basically hitting selfishly and doing what is need to get the runners home.

All statistics can be misleading to a certain degree, its how you analyze at the numbers....
