Status on Keyon Crisp?

Does anyone know the status of TN ILB Keyon Crisp? Are the Vols recruiting him? He is rated highly on some sites. Does he not have the grades or what? Thanks.

He's a local stud that performed well enough for our coaches at camp to receive a scholarship. This kid bleeds orange and this was his dream offer. Was offered a few days ago, check with the coaches if it was a commitable offer, and pulled the trigger.

Looks like Memphis is his only offer to date. If being honest I doubt UT is involved here at all. He would never play RB at UT and the kid favors running the ball. As a LB, he would have way too many guys ahead of him to get a spot at Tennessee. Memphis would be a good fit IMO.

In reading the article, it's amazing how few comments there are following the article. I think govolsxtra really shot themselves in the foot when they put up a pay wall.

I thought it was odd that 247 has him ranked as the 13th ILB, ahead of Cecil Cherry. No one seems to have offered other than Memphis. Why would they have him rated so high? Something seems off here.

Haven't been there since the day they pulled that stunt. I absolutely love watching the good ole boy traditional media choking itself to death. Cannot wait to see KNS (and NYT et al) sold for pennies on the dollar. :eek:lol:

Now, as far as this kid goes ... he reminds me some of Devrin Young. Local kid, decent speed, good moves, breaks tackles, catches passes, running back, kick returns. Even makes some hits on D. Just nothing looks spectacular to my untrained eye. Could see this kind of scatback producing in Butches O.

This is a smaller class than last year, so if it's a commitable, then it kinda dampens expectations of what we leading up to signing day.

170# ILB? That kid must pack some serious punch in there. :eek:hmy:

I looked at your post and thought, what in the world is this guy looking at? DY? :p The profile I saw was on 247 and lists the kid as 6'2 222LBS. IMO that looks about right in the video and explains why he does not look very fast at least to me. Definitely not DY fast. IMO he looks like a 4.7 type guy.
