This is a thread to congratulate Steven Pearl on his greatest game as a Volunteer. His stat line was 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and only 1 turnover.

We all know that after he turned it over, he did a reach-around-steal, then got the ball back and made a reverse layup. Also, he actually had 4 steals, as that foul call was the joke of the night. And he did all of this in a meager 13 minutes of play.

Congratulations Stebo on helping UT to the victory, you who gets hammered night in and night out on this board. :hi:

Normally not a big fan of Pearls minutes, but absolutely great game by him.

He is the single most annoying player in D1 to play against. I firmly believe that. He just constantly does little things that All Americans generally feel too elitist to do. Find me a person with less talent that does more on the collegiate level.

Same here, but tonight he actually played well and had the same intensity as always, which kept us in the game at a couple of crucial points. Kudos SP

Great game. Everytime he goes to the rim, I expect block and watch to see if we have any numbers close to him for a quick put back. I was shocked tonight.

I am glad Bruce listened to Pat and let Steve play more. I have always been a supporter of SP. He is the hardest working white boy in college basketball.

No one can play as good and scrappy as Pearl..He takes it to a whole new level.. I like his attitude and he plays with heart.

We need a GIF of him getting pissed after that crap foul call. One of the most epic outbursts of rage I've ever seen!

Made a thread about 2 weeks ago commending Stevie, and I'll say it again, he's the most consistent person on this team (except hopson the last 2 weeks)

Amazing game by SP last night. He may not put up alot of points but he plays his heart out and does the little things to help us win.

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell the ref was looking at that would make him call that??? Bruce almost had a vein in the side of his head explode...I thought for sure he was about to get a technical. It was great anticipation on Steven's part to make that steal though.

Agree with everyone else too, one of SP's best games as a Vol!!

Great thread - congrats Steve Pearl on an excellent game! The PR cards have been stacked against you because you are the coach's son and generally not as 'heralded' in recruiting circles as most of the other players on the team, but your work ethic and contributions to this team are commendable. Thank you. It was fun watching you and the UT Vols last night, although I (and almost everyone else) completely expected a loss. :salute:

AWESOME game by Super Steven! Even the antisemites can't come and trash his performance last night! He served them a nice warm cup of shut the **** up! Yes he did!
