A big game tonight as the Steelers and Redskins face off on ESPN in a big game on 2 different levels!
On one, both teams look to better their records as Washington hopes to keep up with the NYG divisionally while the steelers hope to stay a game ahead of the ravens but also chase the Titans for the top spot in the AFC.
But on another note, this game has important election implications. Since 1936, the result of the Redskins last home game before an election has in turn determined the results of the election. If the Skins win at home, then the incumbent party has stayed in power. If the Skins lose that game at home, then the party in power at the white house has lost the election. This has happened in every election since 1936, only failing in the 2004 election.
So what will it be? Will a Steelers win and push Obama into the White House? Or will the Skins hold at home and keep the Republicans in power with John McCain? The game might decide.
