Did anyone catch the part in Urban Criers press conference when he said Steve Adazzio is one of the best coaches in the country. I thought wow Kiffin is gonna have something to say about that next year on September 18th after we beat them. That is the dumbest comment I have ever heard how could you say that about an offensive coordinator.

Well, he could have alot of potential, but regardless, their team will be in rebulding mode after all the losses in personnel this year...

Meyer said he had a change of heart after he saw a spireted practice. Now i dont believe him at all. Think all this is to stop recurits from leaveing. Think all the health stuff is Tim Tebow leaveing.

No, there is definitely some truth in it all....... I think Meyer got scared about his health, combined with the massive Headache next year will probably give him, but he was talked out of it, basically.......... He will have to learn how to relax........ I"m sure CLK gave him some nice headaches this past year, too.......

I suppose he can say it because hes worked with him and probably knows better than anyone what his capabilities are. Meyer is showing the fan base that he has confidence in Adazzio. It's a logical statement, not a stupid one.

talk about the quickest fall from grace EVER!!! tebow GONE.... spikes GONE.... strong GONE.... urban GONE.... i mean maybe adazzio turns out to be a good coach, but he wont be any urban meyer.... maybe brantley will be a good quarterback, but he wont be any tim tebow... coupled with all the underclass talent they'll lose to the draft and recruits they'll get stolen away by ut, fsu, and uga because of the parody they face with this whole urban situation.... uf is an average team come 2010. Tennessee feels like we will only get better, so we should be favored to win the east next year and face bama for the title.... with that said does anybody else think urban will find himself back on the gator sidelines before they get to knoxville in week 3???

You still dont say that tho when he isnt even a head coach I can see if he said Adazzio has the potential to be one of the best coaches in the nation. That is just like when they said on ESPN that John Brantley is one of the top 5 qbs in the sec you cant say that when all he has done his whole carrer at UF is mop up duty he sure did tear it up against Charelston Southern, Troy, Kentucky, 19 yards passing on Vandy, FIU, and 13 yards on FSU. Adazzio hasnt proven himself yet just like my case with Brantley.

Maybe no health issue at all, just took a page out of CLK's book, just wanted to be a "talking point"........

g8terh8ter! Good to "see" you man. Its been exceptionally good on this end! Finally got a break from work so Im now able to do eff-all for a few hours on in the internet if I choose to. So, how the hell have you been? Enjoying yourself I hope!

Okay, so now Im confused. You said in your original post that UM claimed that Adazzio is one of the best coaches in CF. Did he say one of the best head coaches or one of the best coaches? If he said "head" coach then I can see why you are so worked up, but if he just said coach then I still dont understand your point.

Look at Monte Kiffin as an example. Many considered him to be one of the best coaches in the NFL, yet he never took a head coaching job in the NFL because he didnt want it. Now the same could be true with Adazzio. He may have been offered head coaching jobs at several colleges but has turned them down simply because he is not looking to become a head coach (yet).

CUM knows next year is going to be a rough year and doesnt want to take the blame for it. Gator fans are just as diehard as we are. Now, after he decides to resign, he realized how many recruits hes going to lose. IMO, him deciding to take "temp leave of absence", is ONLY to keep their recruiting up.

Going good man. Glad to see you posting some. Just trying to keep up with the end of this recruiting year, it's a crazy one.

That is totaly different tho Monte proved himself for many years in the NFL and in college

UF didnt even use tight ends hardly in 2005-2007
The offense was good last year because of Harvin and Murphy it was obvious this year. They put up points on nobody teams and so did we my point is that you cant say someone is one of the best coaches in the country when he has only coached in a good conference for 5 years and is being switched around every other year that usually means that he isnt doing his job very good the only reason he is the interm coach is because they have lost 2 coaches in one year and the only reason he got the coordinator job is because Mullen left and they didnt have enough to pay a new OC and Tebow at the same time

But dont say that he is one of the best coaches say he has potential to be one of the best coaches we will see next year just how good Adazzio is.

Adazzio is no Monte in anyone's bible, even those in Gainesville. Dont let em get to you codyg.

I don't think much of this comment. CUM is coming back, and he's just trying to show confidence in the man who will be stepping in, even if it's for a short amount of time. He doesn't want recruits thinking that he'll be passing the reigns over to just anybody while he goes home to take a five month power nap.
