I may be spelling it wrong, but does anyone remember him and maybe know whatever became of him? He is one of my earliest memories of Vol football. My dad and I used to get up at four am in hendersonville, tn and meet the all the husbands in my parents circle of friends at the I-40 exit off of 109 and head to the games together. Then we would drive back, this was my childhood, some the best times of my life. God Bless Tennessee Football.

Sure I remember Alatore. I have no idea what happened to him though. Welcome to Volnation from beautiful Sumner County!

 Yep, I remember Alatore. His reign at QB goes back a few years. Probably, one on the most unheralded QB we have had but, unless memory fails me, he played at a time when we weren't really very good.

We didn't have the best of teams in the early '80s but Alatorre was not bad at all. In fact he was MVP for a couple of bowl games and had Willie Gault as his primary reciever. Our defense was aweful back in those days.
